About Me
Hi, I'm Nina. I’m a stay-at-home mother of two beautiful children and have been married to my husband for almost six years. We live in the rolling hills of West Virginia with our three rescue dogs. I have had a love for writing since high school and in November 2022 I decided to go forward with writing this first novel. Overthrown is an alternate history/ historical romance, bringing my love of Tudor England and strong female leads together!

Overthrown
Reimagining of the marriage and reign of Catherine of Aragon and Henry VIII
Katherine, Princess of Spain, was intended to solidity an alliance with England through a marriage to their king, Arthur. However, when rebels infiltrate the castle and assassinate her new husband before their wedding night, Katherine is forced to renegotiate with Arthur's younger brother, Henry.
As tensions escalate between Catholics and Protestants in their respective kingdoms, Katherine and Henry are forced to depend on each other to maintain peace among their people.
Rebels begin to advance in Spain, and Katherine must rely on Henry's assistance to safeguard her kingdom and her reign.
When tragedy strikes, loyalties shift, and Henry becomes increasingly estranged from his wife.
Katherine finds herself isolated, far from her homeland, while her people suffer and die as the rebels plunder through Spain. Without Henry's support, Katherine is left vulnerable to attack, with only the capable hands of Captain Jerome Albright to protect her.
After all, these rebels desire nothing more than to overthrow their Catholic queen.

Overthrown
This book is intended for mature audiences, though there is no graphic, sexual scenes or foul language in this book. This book takes place in 1500s England and this time in history was brutal. The king this book is based on— Henry VIII— is known for executing two of his wives, though this book isn’t historically accurate, I think the history of the time is kind of important. People were merely chess pieces that kings and queens moved at their leisure. Keep that in mind when reading.
This book contains:

-death
